The Charanga´s Legends will share all their talent with their fans for this last day of the year. This exceptional duo with 35 years of trajectory, time transgressor, continue to fill places to a full house in South America and the main cities of the United States, and this December 31, 2019, is the turn of Commerce city in Los Angeles County in California.
Hansel & Raul will be accompanied for the third time by Mr. Carlos Navarro orchestra, Son and Clave. This complicity of unique and singular talents has been joined in the different cities of the California State since the 90s, achieving the resounding success in each of their performances.
This duo formed in the Miami city in 1984 is still the Ambassadors of “La Charanga” with 330 recorded singles, six gold records and four platinum records for sales made, in addition to two Grammy awards with the album “Encore” in 1978.
Hansel & Raul, borne in Cuba, enjoy all their biggest hits summarized in their more than three decades of artistic career as a duo, and it’s for that the public will always have the last word when choosing the songs that they most prefer of these fantastic legends, but don’t worry, because Hansel assured us that their classics such as “Soy”, “María Teresa y Danilo”, “Ella”, “Ayer”, “Se me Nota”, and “Balancea mi Corazón” (songwriter Venezuelan, Yordano) among many others, will be present in this show of one hour and forty-five minutes.

What you should know before arriving in Cali
Cali is the capital of the department of Valle del Cauca, located on the Colombian Pacific. Located at 1,018 meters above sea level, its average temperature is 32 degrees, with a dry climate for most of the year.

1. Calima Gold Museum
It is an archaeological museum dedicated to the Calima culture located in the historic center of Cali.
2. Boulevard of Colombia Avenue
Also known as the River Boulevard for being located on the banks of the Cali River.
It is a boulevard located in the historic center of the city, in whose surroundings are the Ermita Church, the Coltabaco Building (architectural heritage), the Municipal Administrative Center, CAM; the Puente España, the Jorge Isaacs Theater, among others.
This pedestrian space has become one of the most visited sectors of the city due to its traveling art shows.
3. The Tertulia Museum
It is a museum of modern art and has the most important collection of works on paper in the country.
4. Alameda Park
It is a space for family integration that has become a great cluster of gastronomy, music and dance.
5. Caliwood Museum of Cinematography
It stands out for its emblematic collection of cinematographic, photographic and phonographic devices, which show the evolution of the filming and film exhibition equipment used in Colombia.
6. La Merced Religious Complex
Religious complex located in the place of foundation of the city of Santiago de Cali.
It is made up of the main nave of the church dedicated to Our Lady of Mercy (patron saint of the city), the auxiliary chapels dedicated to Our Lady of Remedies and the Lateran Christ, the religious convent, the museum of religious art and the archaeological museum.
7. Pance River and Health Park
It is one of the most frequented natural places by the inhabitants of Cali.
From the town of Pance to the area known as the Vorágine there are a good number of restaurants and recreational parks.
8. Sebastian de Belalcázar viewpoint
It has a monument that pays homage to the conqueror Sebastián de Belalcázar, who founded the city in 1536.

Macetas festival
It is part of a local tradition that celebrates the bond between godparents and godchildren. Every year, during the last days of June, cultural activities, exhibitions and sales of pots, made with sugar candies, are held.
Dance Biennale
It is a festival dedicated to the music of Pacific folklore that takes place in the month of August. It seeks to highlight composers, musical groups and music researchers of Afro-Colombian origin. Gastronomy, clothing and handicrafts are some of the components of this multicultural meeting.
Petronio Álvarez Pacific Music Festival
Event that aims to stage theater shows at a local, national and international level, during the month of October.
World Salsa Festival
National and international companies arrive in the dance capital in November to show the country the best of contemporary, urban and folkloric expression.
Cali International Theater Festival
It takes place in Cali every year in the month of September and recognized orchestras and all the salsa schools in the city participate, accompanied by dance academies from other cities and abroad that are represented by around 5,000 dancers.
During the festival, workshops, talks and academic meetings are held around salsa.
Cali Exposhow
It is the most important beauty, health and fashion event in Colombia, it takes place annually in the month of October and brings together important local and international designers and exhibitors.

Adelaide Tropical: Salsa reaches a wide audience at Disney California Adventure

Adelaide Benavides is an artist, a businesswoman and the band leader of Adelaide Tropical.
Born in Texas, Adelaide is based in California with her different projects and putting a lot of creativity and innovation in each one of them.
One of the projects that have brought her the most gratifying moments is Adelaide Tropical; a band that has become the official Salsa set of Disney California Adventure.
They are being featured on their largest stage for their Food and Wine Festival. As Adelaide expresses, this band differs from many other Salsa bands because she has achieved bring together a show of which she calls “Salsa Americana“.
Perform classics from Celia Cruz and Tito Puente, but also incorporate a lot of Latin pop that people of all cultures will recognize. Salsa arrangements of popular hits like “Havana”, “Despacito“, Cardi B, Selena and even some original Salsa arrangements of popular Disney songs. This presentation of Salsa has been very successful at Disney and many festivals because of its ability to reach such a wide spanned audience.
Currently, Adelaide Tropical is recording a salsa version and video of “Me voy a enamorar” which will be released this summer. While that moment arrives, you can see Adelaide Tropical perform at Disney California Food and Wine Festival. The Adelaide band is also continuing to perform at Downtown Disney and will be all over the west coast through the end of the summer at various festivals, city concerts, popular venues and every Sunday at Knott’s Berry Farm where they will also be doing a special tribute performance to Selena.
Adelaide Benavides has created different successful formats with great musical quality ando performances that have led her to a variety of venues ranging from Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm, popular music festivals, grand casinos, and even the Staples Center. She was also a contestant on La Voz México 2018-2019 edition, and recently released her 2nd and all original album “Reflexiones De Mi Mente“, which can be found on all major streaming applications.
