Ayumi Azúcar Suzuki, plays Latin percussion, Classic percussion, Marimba & Vibraphone.
Ayumi Azúcar Suzuki was born in Japan. She plays Latin percussion, Classic percussion, Marimba & Vibraphone.
She graduated from the Faculty of Percussion, Tokyo College of Music. At the college; she began to study percussion in earnest mainly with classic music and gained experience of ensemble in orchestras, brass bands, musicals, operas, etc.
At the same time, she started to organize concerts and participate as percussionist, keyboard percussionist or drummer.
She has been also teaching eurythmics at a nursery school.
In 2015, she started her own band, “Ayumania” that features mostly her original compositions and arrangements, where she fuses Japanese atmosphere into Latin rhythm.
Inviting both Japanese and foreign guests, she has been organizing live concerts in various places in Tokyo.
In July 2017, she released her first album “Oukagekka” in Japan. It has been promoted in overseas radio programs in Colombia, Puerto Rico and New York.
Takashi Nakazato

Takashi Nakazato, Multi- percussionist specializing in various musical genres.
Takashi Nakazato born in Asakusa, Tokyo is a multi-percussionist specializing in various musical genres.
He has performed with numerous well-known artists throughout his career, as well as performing with “The Lion King, The Musical” for five years.
Nakazato has toured most of Europe and Asia with the Jaribu Afrobeat Orchestra, Jazztronik, Fried Pride (Tokyo Jazz Festival etc) Kyoto Jazz Massive (North Sea Jazz Festival, Tokyo Crossover Jazz Festival etc) and toured China with the Online Game Orchestra (Ro Legend 2016)
Takashi has also toured Japan with famed pianist, Yukie Nishimura and toured Mala in Cuba.
He was the only Japanese percussionist to be hired for the gig. Takashi studied for a long while in Cuban, learning Cuban folklore and Bata under the wing of greats like Adonis Panter Calderon, Barbaro Yordany Crespo Richard (Osain Del Monte) and Angel Boraño.
He studied the Conga drum under Tomas “El Panga” Ramos, Edger Martinez and Joaquin Pozo.
His timbal mentor was Juan Carlos Rojas. He made Santo, Obatala, while in Cuba.
Nakazato has his own fusion band, Piecework, and is also a member of 10 piece percussion group, Orquesta Nadge! Nadge! And Ayumigos (Japanese and Cuban members of Latin Jazz).
Nakazato released his first album “Clandestina,” which included guests Luisito Quintero, Robert Quintero, Calixto Oviedo, Karl Vanden Bossche and Olí Savill. His percussion instruction book & DVD was published in 2014.
He is currently a member of the orchestra of maestro Jimmy Bosch ¨The Trombon Criollo de La Salsa ¨ and at the same time is an exclusive artist of the percussion instrument brand Gon Bops in Los Angeles California.

In April 2000, the third Sunday of March was instituted as the National Zalsa Day under Law #100 of the Senate of Puerto Rico
History
The National Zalsa Day was created in 1984 by Pedro Arroyo, Z-93 Programming Director, who always had the desire to celebrate an event where the talent of popular salsa music, its composers and performers would be recognized, to present it to the great public that loves this tropical genre.
Since its first year, the great event has seized a public eager to enjoy this live music.
The support was total and it immediately positioned itself as the annual concert of the people of Puerto Rico and visitors from other countries.
Since its inception, the National Day of the Zalsa was dedicated to some figure of this genre, as a recognition of their talent and their roots in the public.

National Zalsa Day 2020
On March 8, the 37th edition of the National Salsa Day will be held at the Hiram Bithorn Stadium, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
We often hear that salsa in Puerto Rico is not having a good time or that the atmosphere is not what it used to be. However, each time before. However, every time National Salsa Day is announced, everything changes.
Those who live on the island rub their hands to wait for the big moment and those who arrive from abroad begin to check plane tickets and schedule a little vacation.
In 2020 it will not be the exception. The station Z93 announced a tremendous salsa billboard with Eddie Palmieri, Sonora Ponceña, Oscar D’ León, Ismael Miranda, Lalo Rodríguez and India.
In addition, Tony Vega, Ray de la Paz, Tito Rojas and NG2 have been confirmed as part of the great salsa party. This has caused fans on social networks to begin to express themselves with different opinions about the chosen artists.
Perhaps the balance tilts favorably towards the more classic salsa and not so much towards the proposals of the youngest (except NG2), but let’s see how this formula works for Zeta.
The Crazy Owl, a popular Puerto Rican radio host, announced that tickets can be purchased on the Ticket Center website (tcpr.com/). So you are already warned.

Rosario Jermano

Rosario Jermano is probably the best known Italian percussionist, open to all types of traditional and worldwide ethnic music.
Jermano’s Neapolitan origin together with his extraordinary intuitive interpretations have given birth to a music with a genuine Mediterranean sound with colours from World music and pop influences.
His world is not conned to the Neapolitan area, but is open to the sound and cultures of the entire Mediterranean area, mixed in a truly exciting blend.
The exotic Middle East as well as tribal Africa are united by the sound of his percussions to create what he himself calls “The breath of life”.
